At the south end of the neighborhood, Chef Jacques Saar recently opened Afrikando Banadir, offering a tantalizing array of Senegalese cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Joe opened the first Tutta Bella in Columbia City in 2004. Now there are four restaurants in the Seattle area, but Joe keeps his heart and his headquarters here in the neighborhood.
